The PENNINE Data Logger is an instrument that has been developed especially for the civil engineering and foundation engineering industries. Housed in a hardened case the system consists of the logger itself, the engineering data bus, sensors and custom designed software. The PENNINE Data Logger collects real time data including pressure, depth, flow rates, inclination, and level. The Data Logger receives information from the sensors at up to 10 times per second. The data is stored in the logger and can be accessed either by downloading to a USB disk or; with the additional option of a GPRS modem seamlessly transferred back to the analysis software, usually installed on a PC at head office. The system also functions as a learning tool, with options to guide the operator on construction of in-situ compaction, stone and VCC columns. With this tool in place even the most novice of operators can become more adept. Global positioning systems can be incorporated into the system enabling underwater columns to be accurately set out. The system is user friendly with touch screen technology and a Windows XP® embedded operating system. Remote viewing software allows PENNINE support staff to view the logger and rectify simple problems, should they arise, anywhere in the world where there is a GPRS signal All the Data Logger programs developed by PENNINE can be adapted to suit customer requirements and needs. |
