Continuous Flight Auger Piling (CFA) is a low noise, low vibration piling system. Piles are formed by screwing a continuous auger into the ground to the design depth; concrete is then pumped at pressure down the stem of the auger to the bottom of the bore. The auger string is then lifted whilst PENNINE's Data Logger records concrete pressure throughout the process. Piles up to 600mm in diameter can be formed in this way using our purpose built boring rigs.

Why use Continuous Flight Auger Piling?

low noise and vibration levels

can be used in most soil types

can be used for retaining wall construction

does not require temporary casing in unstable strata
